Immanuel Kant was a German philosopher and one of the most influential thinkers of the Enlightenment. He is known for his contributions to epistemology, metaphysics, ethics, and aesthetics.
Kant was born in Königsberg, Prussia, and lived there his entire life. He worked as a private tutor and later as a professor at the University of Königsberg. His daily routine was so regular that townspeople could set their clocks by his afternoon walks.
